(English) Basic Sciences Anaesthetic Course – ESA

The Basic Sciences Anaesthetic Course is intended as one of the tools suitable for the preparation of the European Diploma in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care by improving the candidate’s understanding and knowledge of different areas of basic science.

This 3-day course will be held in parallel with Euroanaesthesia 2016 at Excel London. Participants can attend the Inaugural Ceremonies and a number of industry-sponsored sessions during lunch breaks, but may not attend any other congress sessions.

Participants must attend the entire course in order to be able to sit the formative On-Line Assessment on 30 May and obtain the Certificate of Attendance.

Registration and all course correspondence (including any course material) will be sent by electronic mail only. Each candidate must provide a valid and personal e-mail address. Candidates have to pre-register as onsite registration is not possible.

Who can attend?

Only ESA Members (membership period must include 2016 and be of one of the following types: Active, Active from a reduced fee country, Affiliate or Trainee Membership.).
Basic Sciences Anaesthetic Course attendees cannot register for Euroanaesthesia and vice versa.

What should you bring to the course?

You must bring a laptop that has an Ethernet port as well as its charger to the course. You will need to use your own laptop to take the formative On-Line Assessment; no laptops will be provided by the organisers. If you need a power adapter, please bring one with you. Please make sure that the Internet browser you will be using during the OLA is up-to-date on the day of the assessment. Tablet PCs or smartphones cannot be used to take the On-Line Assessment.
